Meet, Eat & Relax: A Perfect Morning at Benton Rise Farm Café
Coffee, fresh air and friendly faces — what more could you want?…
Benton Rise Farm
Welcome to Benton Rise Farm, a place where families can slow down, take a breath, and pick up some fresh food grown close to home. A visit includes a locally roasted coffee, time with the animals, and choosing produce for the week ahead. It’s a simple, welcoming space shaped around real moments rather than busy days.
Mornington Peninsula produce gathered from growers and artisans we know and trust. With low food miles, much of what you find here is picked the same week you purchase it, helping keep food fresh, local, and closely connected to where it comes from.
Freshly brewed coffee made with locally roasted beans sits at the heart of the café. Simple snacks are available to enjoy alongside your coffee, offering a small pause in the day.
A welcoming farm setting for meaningful gatherings shaped by nature, community, and connection.
Local Favourites & Farm Fresh Finds
Our shelves are filled with what we love most, from seasonal fruit and vegetables to fresh bread, pantry staples, and handmade treats created by the Peninsula’s growers and artisans. Much of what you find here is harvested the same morning or the day before, reducing food miles and offering you food that tastes the way nature intended. Every item reflects the people behind it, thoughtful growers and makers who care deeply for the land and their craft.

Our Story
For almost three decades, Benton Rise Farm has been part of the Peninsula’s rhythm, a place where generations of locals have connected over real food, friendly faces, and shared experiences. Each custodian has contributed a chapter to its story, helping the farm grow from humble paddocks into a much-loved community space.
Today, Tanya and Paul carry this legacy forward with warmth, gratitude, and an unwavering belief in the power of slowing down. After years of dreaming about a life connected to land and community, they have poured their hearts into creating a place where people feel welcome to wander, explore, and simply be themselves.
Their vision is gentle and genuine, to nurture a farm gate that celebrates honest produce, the beauty of nature, and the joy of families spending time together. Whether you are here for fresh vegetables, a coffee with friends, or a day of discovery with the kids, they hope you leave feeling grounded, nourished, and part of something local and meaningful.

Our Timeline
1996
Chris and Mark establish Benton Rise Farm, transforming unused paddocks into a working farm gate shaped by hard work and vision. The arrival of the much-loved Red Rattler train helps create a place that feels welcoming, memorable, and rooted in community from the very start.

2013
The Sharpley family expand the farm’s infrastructure and strengthen relationships with local growers across the Peninsula. Their focus on freshness, quality, and consistency helps build trust and a strong connection with the surrounding community.

2018
Donna and Tony bring fresh energy to the farm, responding to a growing need for local food and connection. They launch produce boxes and introduce the W-class train, helping the farm remain accessible and supportive during a time of change.

2021
Isabel and Ian introduce the café and marquee space, adding comfort and warmth to the farm experience. These additions create a relaxed setting where families and friends can linger, connect, and enjoy unhurried days together.

2025
Tanya and Paul step into the next chapter of the farm with care for its history and the people who shaped it. Their focus is on bringing together the growing spaces, produce shop, café, and community so the farm continues to feel connected, welcoming, and grounded.
